Hallowe'en Spirit Day Tomorrow

Dear Families
Tomorrow is our Hallowe'en Spirit Day!
Students are encouraged to wear bright fall colours (red, yellow, orange, etc.) or orange and black.  If they would like, students may also choose to wear a costume.  We encourage students to bring their costumes with them to change into later in the day.  This will help ensure that students can engage in active play at recess and at lunchtime.
As a reminder, if a student chooses to wear a costume, the costume needs to:
-be an appropriate length so students don't trip, especially if playing outside
-include just the costume - NO ACCESSORIES especially anything that looks like a weapon
-have easily seen faces - NO MASKS
Please refrain from sending in any additional food treats for the class.
Finally, for those families who will be trick or treating tomorrow evening, please remember that we are a NUT SAFE school.  Please help ensure the safety of all of our students by being vigilant in checking your child's lunches and sn…

Student-Led Conferences - this year on EDSBY!

Family/staff interviews are set for the evening of Thursday November 22, 2018 and the morning of Friday November 23, 2018. This year we will use of an online process through Edsby to manage our interview scheduling.

Edsby is an intuitive, cloud-based platform that will allow families to easily reserve times to meet with their child’s teachers. YRDSB in partnership with Edsby have created a secure platform that protects the privacy of information for our YRDSB families.

Families will need to create an Edsby account to access the online appointment scheduler for their child’s teachers for interviews. Only families who create an Edsby account prior to the schedule being opened November 7th will have access. For more information on EDSBY please see http://www.edsby.com/help/parents/.

If you have not yet registered, you will receive an email from York Region District School Board with instructions on how to create an Edsby account. If you do not see the email, please check your junk mail f…
