In February we have been focussing on the character trait of Perseverance. This trait is very important for students to practice at school but in life as well. By having perseverance we can develop a growth mindset. A mindset that allows for failure yet does not accept failure instead, learns from it. With optimism and perseverance.... anything is possible!
On Monday, February 29th we had our Character Assembly hosted by our grade 7/8 class. We celebrated those students who have been demonstrating this character trait at school.Students also acknowledged Black History Month and connected the contributions of Canadians from African-Caribbean descent to the perseverance they displayed to make improvements to our society.
We hope to encourage all our students to embrace this mindset and always persevere through their challenges towards success. You can do it Westminster!
